Open the door! Air Harbor Hongyuan successfully completed the transportation of the first oversized cargo using our self-owned aircraft.

On October 26th, Beijing time, the first batch of imported oversized cargo carried by Air Harbor Hongyuan's self-owned Boeing 747-8F successfully arrived at Sichuan Shuangliu International Airport, marking a significant advancement in Hongyuan's special cargo transport capabilities. To ensure the success of this transportation mission, multiple departments at Air Harbor Hongyuan collaborated closely, opening the nose of the aircraft and completing the loading and unloading operations smoothly.

NO.1

Prepare in advance to ensure safety

"Opening the nose door" is a term used in the freight industry and is a loading method unique to Boeing 747 factory freighters. When cargo is oversized and cannot be loaded through the main cargo compartment door, Boeing 747 factory freighters can open the nose door to load the cargo. The cargo being transported in this instance is approximately 9.5 meters long, 2.2 meters wide, and weighs over 6 tons, exceeding the loading requirements of the main cargo door, so it had to be loaded through the nose door.

From shipping cargo, cargo consolidation, apron handover, to loading onto the platform vehicle and securing it, the entire process is interconnected. Air Harbor Hongyuan, two weeks in advance, worked with the customer, Brussels Airport, Chengdu Shuangliu Airport, and the Hongyuan European truck flight team, among other units, to finalize a detailed shipping plan. Alternative and contingency plans were designed for each step to ensure the safety of both the cargo and the aircraft.

Multiple parties cooperated to ensure smooth shipping.

During the completion of this transportation task, there was a full display of seamless cooperation between various departments within the company, highlighting the team's cohesion. For the entire loading process in Brussels, Air Cargo Hongyuan dispatched key personnel to oversee the operation, working in collaboration with Belgian Airlines, maintenance service providers, and ground operation service providers at Brussels Airport.

After the cargo arrived at its destination, Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, the Hongyuan Chengdu Regional team coordinated multiple vehicles, employed unified scheduling, and used their specialized operational capabilities along with a customer-centric work attitude. They smoothly removed the cargo from the nose door, safely unloaded it from the aircraft, and seamlessly transitioned it into the subsequent transportation process.

In the current scenario where international transportation capacity is relatively scarce, companies with the capability to handle large and oversized cargo should not be underestimated. The successful transportation of the oversized cargo in this instance was the result of meticulous calculations behind every step and the diligent and meticulous work ethic of the staff involved. It not only reflects Hongyuan's comprehensive strengths in transportation, customs clearance, and operations but also represents the deep integration of Hongyuan's capabilities in efficient communication, accumulated experience, safety assurance, and resource coordination.

Currently, Hongyuan has 2 self-owned Boeing 747-8F aircraft, which are the largest civilian wide-body cargo planes available. These aircraft have a maximum payload capacity of 134 tons and not only have the capability to "open the nose door" for specialized cargo, but their efficient performance also makes them fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly for long-haul international transport.

As a comprehensive cross-border trade service provider, Air Harbour Hongyuan is set to open the "Chengdu = São Paulo" international cargo route on November 3rd. The plan includes two flights per week, operating on Thursdays and Sundays, with Boeing 747-8F aircraft. This route will offer customers a complete air cargo transportation solution for various types of goods, including oversized cargo, between China and Latin America.
